Des Moines Radio Group
I am an on-air talent for LAZER 103.3 and STAR 102.5 on the weekends. I provide live on-air talk breaks that cover a variety of information including local news, weather, music and artist information, or entertainment news.
I also have a lot of experience with radio promotions. Previously I played a very active role in the Des Moines Radio Group’s promotions department, which is tasked with planing and executing promotional events for stations. My tasks include researching promotions, working with clients, setting up for events, interacting with listeners, and taking photos and video of events and concerts. I was also a member of the 2015 Combat Hunger planning committee, which had a record break year after raising over 255,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Iowa.
I have been working with the Des Moines Radio since May 2014. The Des Moines Radio Group is a collection of seven FM and two AM stations. Some of their stations include, 93.3 KIOA, HITS 99, STAR 102.5, LAZER 103.3, MORE 104.1, and ESPN Des Moines (KRNT 1460).
94.1 The Dog
I have been on-air talent for 94.1 The Dog since my freshmen year at Drake University. I host weekly show, that differs in topic every semester. In the past, I have hosted a news program, movie soundtrack, and song covers themed program. Since the summer of 2015, I have been serving as the production director for The Dog. This allows me to promote evens on campus; organize, update, and create PSA’s and sweepers; and create specialized programming for the station.
For the 2016 Drake Relays, I was hired as the radio producer for the broadcast. I was in charge of converting stories into audio packages, creating radio promotions, and airing the broadcast on 94.1 The Dog
